ADC Telecommunications was a system integrator serving the cable and wireless telecommunications industry. Regional business units focused on municipal and enterprise networks with industrial hardware, integration software, and a spectrum of professional services. The company was acquired by TE Connectivity, a global vendor of broadband network solutions in December 2010.

In 1999, ADC hired Eric Lynch of Sharp Apex to develop a custom in-house intranet site to handle application service requests. Lines-of-business managers who needed maintenance and/or enhancements could navigate to the ASR site, describe their issue, and add it to the IT department’s developer queue. Once the issue was resolved, the developer would notify the LOB through the app who would then either close the ticket or request additional action.

The app was written in ASP.Net, VB.Net, JavaScript, and Microsoft SQL Server.
